2. Subscription Services

2.1 Monthly Subscriptions

Monthly subscriptions to ClauseQuill Pro are billed in advance for the upcoming month. Subscription fees are non-refundable once the billing period has commenced.

2.2 Annual Subscriptions

Annual subscriptions are billed in advance for the full year. Subscription fees are non-refundable once the billing period has commenced.

2.3 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting our support team. Upon cancellation:

  • Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period
  • You will continue to have access to all Pro features until the subscription expires
  • No refunds will be provided for unused portions of the billing period
  • You will not be charged for future billing periods

3. Refund Eligibility

3.1 Generally Not Refundable

Due to the nature of our digital service, subscription fees are generally non-refundable. This policy applies to:

  • Regular subscription renewals
  • Partial billing periods
  • Unused subscription time
  • Dissatisfaction with service features

3.2 Exceptional Circumstances

In rare circumstances, we may consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis for the following situations:

3.2.1 Technical Issues

If our Service experiences significant technical issues that prevent you from using it for an extended period (more than 24 hours continuously), you may be eligible for a partial refund for the affected period.

3.2.2 Billing Errors

If you were charged incorrectly due to a billing error on our part, we will refund the overcharged amount immediately.

3.2.3 Unauthorized Charges

If charges were made without your authorization, please contact your payment provider immediately to dispute the transaction.

4. Refund Request Process

4.1 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund for an eligible circumstance:

  2. Include your account email, subscription details, and reason for the refund request
  3. Provide any relevant documentation or evidence
  4. Allow 5-10 business days for review and response

4.2 Refund Review

All refund requests are reviewed by our customer support team. We will:

  • Acknowledge receipt of your request within 24 hours
  • Investigate the circumstances thoroughly
  • Respond with our decision within 5-10 business days
  • Process approved refunds within 3-5 business days

4.3 Refund Methods

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: Refunded to the original card
  • Bank Transfers: Refunded to the original account
  • Digital Wallets: Refunded to the original wallet

Processing time depends on your payment provider and may take 3-10 business days to appear in your account.

5. Service Credits

In some cases, rather than issuing a cash refund, we may offer service credits or extended subscription periods as compensation for service issues.

6. Free Tier Limitations

Our free tier (5 watermarked PDFs per month) is provided as-is with no refunds or credits. Free accounts can be upgraded to Pro at any time.

7. Third-Party Payment Processors

All payments are processed through Paystack, our trusted payment partner. For payment-related disputes or chargebacks:

  • Contact Paystack support directly
  • Reference your transaction details
  • Provide any relevant documentation

We cannot process refunds directly through Paystack's dispute system. All refund requests must go through our official channels.

8. Subscription Changes

8.1 Plan Downgrades

If you downgrade your subscription plan, the change takes effect at the next billing cycle. No refunds are provided for the difference in plan pricing during the current billing period.

8.2 Plan Upgrades

If you upgrade your subscription plan, you'll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period. The upgrade takes effect immediately.

9. Account Termination

If your account is terminated due to violation of our Terms of Use, no refunds will be provided. You remain responsible for all charges incurred up to the termination date.

10. Currency and Taxes

Refunds are processed in the original transaction currency. Any applicable taxes or fees deducted during the original transaction may not be refunded.

11. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Material changes will be communicated via email.
